Six layouts

One grid. Six ways.

The same items, laid out six ways. Scroll on and each one builds itself.

How it works

Build once.Place anywhere.

A grid is a saved layout, not settings buried in one page. Change it once and every page that shows it follows.

  1. 01 — EDIT

    Build a layout

Content, layout, skin, filter and pages in one sidebar, with a live preview in your theme's styles.

  2. 02 — COPY

    Copy its shortcode

The grid has one, and so do its filter, search, sorting and pagination.

  3. 03 — PLACE

    Put it anywhere

A page, a post, a widget or Elementor. Change the layout once and every page follows.

For theme authors

Your styles,in the picker.

    FAQ

    Questions,answered.

Does it work with my theme?

Yes. The grid uses your theme's fonts in the preview and on the site, and the built-in look is set with CSS variables. A theme can also override every template in its own vlt-grid-builder folder.

Can I show posts or images instead of projects?

Yes. A layout can show projects, posts, pages, any public post type, or images picked from the Media Library with their own titles, links and categories.

Do I need Elementor or another page builder?

No. Paste the shortcode into a Shortcode block, a widget or any builder. If you use Elementor, there is a Grid Builder widget as well.

Can I turn the portfolio off?

Yes, in Settings → Portfolio. Grid Layouts keep working with any other content, and your projects come back when you turn it on again.

Does the plugin load anything from other servers?

No. Fonts and scripts are served from your site. Only when a visitor opens a YouTube or Vimeo video does their browser load that service's player.

Which Pro license do I need?

Personal ($49 a year) is for your own site or a client's: one live site plus any number of local and staging copies. Theme author ($199 a year) is for bundling Pro in the WordPress themes you sell: your customers get every Pro feature with your theme and never enter a key.

What happens to my layouts if I switch to Pro?

Nothing changes: Pro is the whole free plugin plus its extras, so it takes over and your layouts and settings stay as they are.
